Samhold Søkes – Klart for premiere!

Saturday 27 August is the premiere of the humorous, hurtful, recognizable and slightly absurd performance Samhold Søkes! As the performance was one of the first to be cancelled due to the corona pandemic in Kilden , it is extra great that it will finally happen.

The performance explores different aspects of loneliness and togetherness through humorous songs and awkward, but recognizable, situations. In addition to four actors and a pianist, Kilden's own senior choir Sølvstrupene is involved in the performance. "Choir is a very special form of community; you sing, breathe and harmonize with each other, in addition to having to relate to each other individually and as part of a group.

There are many aspects to community, and although the word community for many people has positive associations, community can also feel awkward, uncomfortable, unnecessary, claustrophobic or wrong. We asked some of the performers in the show: can there really be too much community?

Even though the show deals with serious topics such as belonging to a group and loneliness, it is fun, recognizable and a little absurd. With humorous songs and conversations, the performance takes the community's sometimes awkward situations to heart. See pictures from the performance:

The week before the premiere, there's a lot to do to get everything ready! As well as putting the finishing touches to the show, we'll be visited by journalists, taking photos and videos, and there'll be time for some lunch too! But - no one is allowed to eat without a cape to protect the costumes. See photos from the last week:
