Scheduling additional SPOR performances

Tickets for SPOR in March 2022 have already sold out, and it has now been announced that two additional performances will be added during the same period.

“It’s incredibly exciting for everyone involved that so many people want to see SPOR. We’re already well underway with preparations, and this gives us an extra boost of motivation,” says Elisabeth Lindland, director and head of screenwriting for SPOR.

Originally, SPOR was scheduled to be performed four times between March 4 and 11. Due to the high level of public interest, additional performances have been added on March 5 at 3:30 p.m. and March 11 at 6:30 p.m. In addition, more tickets are being released for the performances on March 4 at 12:30 p.m. and March 11 at 12:00 p.m.

Critically acclaimed

SPOR is a performance featuring nearly 100 high school students and the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra on stage. The performance is built around the participants’ stories, areas of expertise, personalities, and functional abilities.

Critically acclaimed SPOR productions were staged in 2015, 2017, and 2019. While each is completely different, what they all have in common is that the symphonic music by Stig Nordhagen, composed specifically for SPOR, serves as one of the cornerstones of the production.

SPOR is a Kilden that uses art as a tool for empowerment, understanding, and inclusion. Elisabeth Lindland serves as director and scriptwriter. The project was developed in close collaboration between Kilden performing arts centre Kristiansand Cathedral School Gimle.
