Queer Southern Norway Days at Kilden

Skeive Sørlandsdager will take place from August 22 to 28 at various venues throughout Kristiansand. Atperforming arts centre Kilden performing arts centre , audiencesperforming arts centre be treated to a colorful array of events. From Wednesday, August 27, through Friday, August 29, a five-meter-long sphinx with a karaoke machine installed in its belly will appear at Beskjær, just outside Kilden.

The installation "Beauty " was created by Kaja Haven (pictured right) in collaboration with Ravnedans, Sommer i Kilden Cultiva, and is "a creature of joy that gives you the chance to sing on a tiny corner of the world."

From 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, you’ll have the chance to experience a karaoke session like no other. In connection with the event, Kilden’s Restaurant Frihavn is offering a special “PRIDE Snack Platter” to the public.

"Out of the Shell"

The concert “Ut Av Skallet – Tom Hugo & Regnbuefamilien” is set for Tuesday, August 24, where the beloved Kristiansand artist Tom Hugo (pictured below) will present nine new songs inspired by LGBTQ+ stories. The songs were written together with his husband Alexander Olsen and will be performed alongside Julie Falkevik (piano), Marius Maaren Bastøe (guitar), Bjarne Severinsen (bass), Tommy Jacksonville (drums), and Kjell Åge Stoveland (viola).
