Very satisfied: I’ve been buying concert packages for over 10 years

Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra's new season is finally on sale and many people are securing big discounts by buying concert packages. Tone Iglebæk is one of them, and is looking forward to it.

With concerts almost every Thursday throughout the year, many people choose to buy a concert package with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra. Tone Iglebæk (51) has subscribed to one of KSO's concert packages for more than 10 years, and is looking forward to the highlights she has in store.

- As a subscriber, I have a stack of tickets waiting for me, which I can't wait to use! The concerts are plotted in the calendar well in advance, so it takes a lot for me not to hear the concert.

Decided to support

Tone was born in Kristiansand and grew up in Randesund. Now she lives and works in the city center. Tone got her first KSO subscription when Kilden opened its doors in 2012.

- Until then, I had attended a number of concerts, but it was probably a bit of a coincidence which concerts I attended," she says.

When the debate about the construction of a new performing arts centre was ongoing, Tone decided to support Kilden and be a more frequent user of the house. Since then, she has renewed her subscription with the desired concert package every season.

There are a total of five different packages to choose from, with discounts of up to 40%. The benefits of a concert package are many; you secure a good seat in the hall, discounts on your own and your friends' tickets, as well as free membership of the friends' association Crescendo. One of the things she appreciates about securing tickets to several concerts in advance is that she is presented with new music throughout the season, which is a great inspiration. 

-"I love all kinds of music, but classical and jazz is probably my favorite. With the concert package, I get to see more concerts that I might not otherwise have picked out.

Means a lot

Since the launch, eager visitors have secured profitable discounts and good seats. Both loyal and new audiences are important to KSO, which works full time throughout the year to create great experiences in Kilden.

-"The fact that we have a symphony orchestra means a lot to me," says Tone.

-"Being able to sit in the auditorium and hear the orchestra play is a delight. Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and Kilden help to make the city more complete, both for those of us who live here and for those who visit the city. I also believe that KSO means a lot to the musical life in the city. I myself play in a band and have had the pleasure of having talented conductors playing in the orchestra on a daily basis.
