The Best Summer Program Ever at Kilden

In the period up to August 31, there will be more activity in Kilden than ever before, with concerts, theater, exhibitions and a brand new outdoor seating area.

There will be cultural experiences for the whole family. Throughout July, you can enjoy free concerts every Tuesday and Thursday at 13:00, as well as something for the little ones every Saturday at 13:00.

- In addition to the many individual events in June, July and August, we will also be offering guided tours of our award-winning building, an art exhibition from Knuden - Kristiansand Culture School, an insight into what our workshops produce and much, much more. We think most people will find something interesting with us this summer," says Øystein Flemmen, project manager for Summer in Kilden.

From full rigger to symphony

As part of "Vilhelm Krag 150 years" will Two in the Boat will present Sørlandet's rich song tradition, and on June 25, the Fullriggeren Sørlandet will dock at Kilden and perform a concert with Sigvart Dagsland and Janove. Residents and tourists will also be able to enjoy concerts with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and much, much more, both before and after the holiday.

Kilden is also launching a brand new concept in its new outdoor seating area. Every day between 11.00 and 17.00 it will be possible to enjoy the sun under the wave wall accompanied by tasty dishes from the grill.

Looking forward to it

Chef Bjørn Egil Hagen is looking forward to trying out an exciting new concept at the pier:

- We'll be presenting delicious grilled dishes made from local ingredients and creating an area with a focus on summer wellness. There will be appetizers, main courses and desserts on the menu. Then people can either sit down with us and perhaps indulge in something good by the glass, or take their food with them to Odderøya, Bystranda or sit on the quayside outside Kilden," he says.
