Tysk storband til Kilden
The TV stars of "Moka Efti" at Kilden
The TV thriller *Babylon Berlin* is currently in its fourth season, and the band behind the title track, Moka Efti, will be performing at Kilden on November Kilden .
The series that has taken the world by storm is a top-notch export from Germany. A vivid portrayal of 1920s Berlin: a free, vibrant, and pulsating urban life without constraints, before things went so terribly wrong. In the series, there is a club called Moka Efti, but in today’s world, Moka Efti is not a club, but rather a 14-piece big band that captures the spirit of the 1920s with the greatest of ease.
The big band stays true to the spirit of the times, moving elegantly from ragtime, chansons, and swing to the blues. At the forefront is vocalist Severija, who, with her formidable voice, brings a century-old soundscape to life with the utmost ease. The atmosphere and hedonistic vibe of Berlin in 1929 may be a far cry from what we experience in 2022 in our southern Norwegian town of Kristiansand, but that perhaps makes it all the more exciting to head to Kilden this Kilden evening
With such a popular series as a backdrop, it’s no wonder the band has achieved great success worldwide. Incidentally, the band also includes one of the members of the duo Meute, who were supposed to perform at one of Kilden’s events celebrating its 10th anniversary, which unfortunately had to be canceled due to a certain pandemic.
That’s why it’s especially nice to finally be able to welcome our German friends to Kilden , November 19.
