Lokale krefter med ny og spennende scenekunst

Over the next couple of weeks, audiences can see new and exciting performing arts performed by young and upcoming talents here in Kilden under the auspices of Kilden Kultur.

Looking Glass

As early as January 19, the spectacular dance performance Looking Glass will be performed on stage in multisalen , exploring themes related to identity, self-worth and the uncertainties of youth.

In the performance, the audience is presented with engaging visual expressions and emotionally charged dance. A new and perhaps surprising element is the use of a local dance artist in the performance. The dancer takes part in a three-hour workshop before a stage rehearsal and dress rehearsal - then it's straight to the stage! In Kristiansand, dance artist Irene Ingebretsen will be the local contribution.

Helix: The Hanging Garden

Behind the sensory performance "Helix the hanging garden" is the Kristiansand-based artist collective Spektra. Audiences aged 2-10 (and their families) are invited into an immersive sensory experience that is highly visual, and for audiences with visual impairments, it is possible to receive a headset with an audio supplement with more text and narration. There will also be a specially adapted performance with extra high ceilings for those who need to be themselves, with all their sounds, movements and reactions.

Who killed my father?

The production Who killed my father is an explosive monologue written by Edouard Louis about class differences in society. Agder Nye Teater is behind the stage version performed in Kilden where theater and dance are mixed together.

Because of his son's orientation, father and son have lost contact, in the performance the son will do what he can to understand, and defend, his own father. This highly topical production includes Olav Waastad from the National Theatre, last seen in the NRK hit "Makta", the feature film "Konvoi" and as station master Flagge in "Den første julen i Skomakergata".

Magnus Sparsaas is responsible for direction, set design and choreography, in addition to having a role on stage.
