Helga Farestveit

Helga Farestveit is from Sogndal in Western Norway and holds a master’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Agder.

She has worked as a freelancer, performing her own concerts and dialect shows, and has taken on assignments as a singer, actress, and emcee. Among other things, she has performed as a soloist with the Agder Symphony Orchestra, the Sogn og Fjordane Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Navy Band, and KORK, and she hosted the University of Agder’s 10th-anniversary celebration at Kilden. Helga has traveled to Sri Lanka and Thailand to share the joy of singing at orphanages, and she has also lived in Rome and Berlin to experience music and culture in order to find inspiration for her own artistic work.

Since her master’s recital in 2021, Helga has been based in Oslo and has been working on her own projects alongside various vocal engagements. Among other things, she wrote the script and music for the play *A Housewife’s Longings*, which premiered in Oslo in the summer of 2022. Helga is a versatile artist whose primary goal is to move her audience.
