Katrin Bombe

Katrin Bombe was born in Bremen, Germany, and works as a set and costume designer.

She studied theater, film design, and art direction at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Katrin has extensive experience in set design and artistic design for theater, opera, and festivals. She has worked with a number of renowned institutions, including Trøndelag Teater, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the National Theater in Oslo, the Ruhrtriennale, Münchner Kammerspiele, Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Rogaland Teater, and many others.

In addition to her artistic work, Katrin is an associate professor of scenography at the University of the Arts Utrecht and the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands.

In 2026, she will make her debut at Kilden the set and costume designer for August Strindberg’s *Easter *.
