Krisztina Eikeset
Cellist Krisztina Eikeset is from Oradea/Nagyvárad in Transylvania, Romania and educated at the "Gh. Dima" in Cluj- Napoca/ Kolozsvár, University of Performing and Music in Gothenburg, the University of Stavanger and the University of Agder.
Krisztina works as a freelance musician at including the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Opera and Ballet in Oslo, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Stockholm. In addition to her work as an orchestral musician, Krisztina an active chamber musician and performs in ensembles of various sizes. During the 2025–2026 season, she will perform piano trio concerts in Germany, among other places, in connection with with the chamber music series at the Wiesbaden Museum, concerts featuring a string octet as part of the KSO’s chamber music series, and solo and duo performances for cello and piano at Bach Marathon Festival in Cluj- Napoca, in Romania, string trio concerts, including the string trio version of Bach’s Goldberg Variations by Bach on the program. Together with a pianist and professor at UiA, Cordula Hacke, Krisztina toward concerts where they will perform music for cello and piano by female composers from around the world, who were active in various eras and whose music deserves to be rediscovered, not only by musicians, but also by music lovers.
In 2025, Krisztina will be performing as a musician in Kilden production of *Gengangere*.
