Sarah Camille Osmundsen
Playwright
Sarah Camille Osmundsen is from Oslo and works as a performer and creator in the fields of poetry, music, and storytelling. She has studied storytelling at OsloMet and Creative Writing and Literary Promotion at the Norwegian Children’s Book Institute.
Sarah has participated in projects at venues including Det Norske Teatret, the Oslo Philharmonic, Den Mangfaldige Scenen, Nordic Black Theater, Dramatikkens hus, Unge Viken Teater, and Riksscenen, both as a performing artist and a playwright. With her music and poetry, she has performed on stages and at festivals both nationally and internationally. For several years, she has toured with her own productions for Den Kulturelle Skolesekken. Sarah Camille recently won the 2020 Spellemann Award for the album Traces of Drops and Red Beaks in the children’s music category. She became the Norwegian champion in slam poetry in 2011. She also works regularly with children and young people in various settings, and is a regular at Den Mangfaldige Scenen. Sheherazade – and the Word That Lasted 1,001 Nights is her first project as a playwright at Kilden .
