Simon Revholt
Simon Revholt studied at Dartington College of Arts, the Barratt Due Music Institute, and the Norwegian Academy of Music, majoring in voice, piano, and conducting. He is the music director at the National Theater, where he has been responsible for productions such asA Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Journey to the Christmas Star, Anna Karenina, and The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear. Simon was part of the artistic leadership for the Musikklab project at Torshovteatret from 2014 to 2016. In addition, he has worked on several occasions at Rogaland Teater, Hålogaland Teater, Riksteatret, Det Norske Teatret, Den Nationale Scene, Det Kongelige Teater, Teatret Vårt, and now at Kilden the productionAmadeus. At Oslo Nye Teater, Revholt has, among other things, served as musical director for the productionsCabaret andAs It Is in Heaven. He works as a composer and musical director/conductor, and also served as musical director for Peer Gynt at Gålå from 2017 to 2018, as well as holding musical responsibility for Spelet om Heilag Olav from 2016 to the present. In 2018, Revholt was nominated for the Hedda Award for Best Audiovisual Design for the productionSound of Music atHålogaland Teater.
