Trini Lund

Trini Austin Lund was born in London and graduated from the National Academy of Theatre in 1975. She then became a permanent member of the cast at Det Norske Teatret.  

At Det Norske Teatret, she has appeared in a wide range of productions, spanning everything from comedies and tragedies to musicals. Among her musical roles is that of Anita in West Side Story, Pirate Jenny in The Threepenny Opera , and Sally Bowles in Cabaret, as well as Prøysen cabarets. Among Greek tragedies, she has performed Medea, Iphigenia in Aulis, and Jocasta in Death in Thebes, Eurydice in Antigone and Electra at the National Theater. She has also appeared in several Shakespeare productions, including King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet and Richard II. 

Trini has also appeared in several productions for Fjernsynsteatret, films, and the science fiction series Marco Polo. In addition, she took a year’s leave from the theater to work as a clown at Circus Berny, where she also worked with and rode elephants. 

After 42 years, Trini ended her career at Det Norske Teatret with the role of Mrs. Sørby in The Wild Duck, as well as her own farewell performance, a musical poetry evening with two musicians about the poet Federico García Lorca. 

In 2024, she will appear at Kilden in *Oedipus/Antigone*.
