Sverre Brandt’s beloved Christmas fairy tale, accompanied by Johan Halvorsen’s unforgettable music, is one of the most frequently performed plays in Norwegian theater history—surpassed only by *Peer Gynt*. Directed by Lars Jacobsen, this classic tale is brought to life on our stage.
Experience a beautiful and enchanting tale about Sonja, a brave girl who braves the snow and darkness to find the missing Christmas star—a star the king cursed when his daughter, Princess Gulltopp, disappeared many years ago. On her journey, she encounters dangerous witches, a cunning count, and friendly helpers who guide her closer to the truth. Sonja’s courage and belief in the magic of Christmas become the key to bringing light, hope, and love back to the kingdom.
On stage, Kilden’s actors stand side by side with dozens of children and young people—together, they hope to create genuine theatrical magic and a festive Christmas atmosphere.
