Tonight’s solo piece is Sibelius’s Violin Concerto, a virtuosic and atmospheric work
that ranges from icy-blue soundscapes to broad melodic lines.
Violinist Karen Gomyo, with an international career and a special command of late-Romantic violin concertos, is tonight’s soloist.
The conductor is Ana María Patiño-Osorio from Colombia, who gained international attention
after winning three prizes at the Malco Concert in 2024.
She takes us on a journey through a magnificent and joyful symphony in which Schumann celebrates nature, community, and romantic power.
