A bold and poetic exploration of female power.

Following the audience favorite *I Am Lucia* , Eir Inderhaug returns to Kilden with a new musical theater production—this time exploring a theme that opera almost never addresses: the aging woman.

What happens when an opera singer is still singing better than ever, but the roles dry up because heroines are always supposed to be young?

With humor, power, and virtuoso singing, Inderhaug breaks with the traditions of the opera singer. Classical opera arias meet video, artificial intelligence, and personal reflections in a performance that questions the brutal fate of women in opera history.

When the soprano refuses to die, as heroines always do, a new story emerges: one of menopause, resistance, and rebirth.

Inderhaug herself says the following about the production:
“I’m going to create an opera/theater production about the transitions women go through in life and what it’s like to be a woman over 50 in my industry and in life in general. It feels liberating not to have to wear high heels anymore, and cellulite has become a habit. Decay is welcome, beautiful, poetic, and exciting—and I’m lying, because it’s also incredibly annoying. We live in a chaos of vanity.”
