Conductor Rodolfo Barráez has enjoyed a distinguished international career. He takes the podium alongside soloist Pacho Flores, who is considered one of the world’s leading trumpeters. Both trace their musical roots to El Sistema—Venezuela’s program for children’s and youth orchestras that fosters a sense of accomplishment and community among young people in vulnerable circumstances.
Tonight's program ranges from Latin American vitality to virtuoso European Romanticism, featuring works that combine rhythmic energy, melodic brilliance, and colorful orchestral sounds.
