Conductor Rodolfo Barraez has enjoyed a distinguished international career. He takes the podium alongside soloist
Pacho Flores, who is considered one of the world’s foremost trumpeters. Both have their musical roots
in El Sistema—Venezuela’s program for children’s and youth orchestras that provides mastery
and a sense of community to young people in vulnerable life situations.
The evening’s program ranges from Latin American vitality to virtuoso European Romanticism, featuring works
that combine rhythmic power, melodic brilliance, and colorful orchestral sounds.
