Heino Eller’s Five Pieces for String Orchestra opens with five short movements that present the strings
in a clear and lyrical close-up.
At the center is Ørjan Matre’s Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra.
The evening concludes with Grażyna Bacewicz’s rhythmic and concise Symphony No. 3.
