AN IMAGINATIVE DANCE PERFORMANCE FOR CHILDREN AGED 6 MONTHS TO 6 YEARS.

Imagine if you could smell with your hands or see with the inside of your body? What if you could taste with your back, sense things from a distance, or hear sounds from the other side of the globe?

"Sanseporten" is a poetic and playful dance performance that invites the audience into a mysterious universe. Here, we encounter two dancers in a sensory, tactile, and vibrant space in constant motion. Nothing is quite as we know it—and everything is open to exploration!

The performance is inspired by Ed Yong’s book *An Immense World* and shows how animals perceive the world in ways that are completely different from our own.

Together with the children, the dancers explore new ways of hearing, seeing, touching, and understanding—in an interactive environment where dance, sound, light, set design, and costumes blend together. At a time when nature and biodiversity are under threat, we ask: Can curiosity about the sensory world of animals foster greater empathy for them?

Behind the production is choreographer Julie Rasmussen, founder of the Ravnedans dance festival and artistic director of SPINE FICTION. With *Sanseporten*, she opens the door to a universe that sparks wonder and invites us to experience the world in new ways.
