Hanne Boel is in a continuous creative process, and these days she is working on new material that will eventually become a new album.
Hanne is trying out a tried-and-true strategy from the past, where the songs and their live performances are presented to the audience, and where the atmosphere and audience feedback will help determine which of the songs will earn a spot on her next release.
At the concerts in 2026, you can therefore expect to hear new songs, but definitely also familiar songs that have stood the test of time throughout Hanne's long career.
Together with the band, she always tries to be curious and innovative when it comes to her older repertoire, but she’s always careful not to ruin a good song by changing it too much when it doesn’t feel right.
“I feel that, together with my current band, I’m living in the present. We’re curious, we love to play, we love music, and we love a good groove that resonates with the body just as much as it does with the heart and mind. We’re curious about the present, and at the same time, we’re enthusiastic about the classic sounds of the ’80s and ’90s.”
