Bach’s Mass in B minor stands as one of the most monumental and visionary works of the Baroque era—
a musical whole that unites jubilation, meditative depth, and an unparalleled richness of form.

This evening’s performance will be conducted by Grete Pedersen, who, after 35 years as artistic director of the Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, has recently taken up the position of professor and chief conductor at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and the Yale Schola Cantorum.
