The Tonleik Choir was founded in 1951 and is one of Asker’s oldest mixed choirs, with about 30 dedicated singers. This year marks the choir's 75th anniversary.
Our repertoire is wide-ranging: from folk songs and folk music to hymns and classical choral works.
Our conductor, Eduardo Villamizar, is a highly talented musician who graduated from the Oslo Academy of Music, and he conducts several choirs.
Tonleik regularly participates in choral events and performs on various holidays, such as May 17. We also perform at weddings, funerals, and nursing homes, and hold two major concerts each year.
Every year, the choir goes on a singing tour to selected destinations both at home and abroad—a tradition that strengthens both the musical and social bonds within the group.
We look forward to visiting Kristiansand.
