*The Tempest* is William Shakespeare’s final play and is considered his farewell to the theater.
An unexpected ship on the horizon gives Prospero the opportunity to settle scores with the past. From his deserted island, where he has lived in exile, he uses his magical powers to whip up a storm. The ship is wrecked, and thus he finally gets the chance to reclaim what he believes is his.
*The Tempest* will be the first production by Kilden Diligens, directed by the program’s own director, Anna Sharko. Together with two actors, two musicians, and a singer, she will explore power dynamics that can strip people of their dignity, credibility, and freedom.
