Den fineste fitta i Nordland er mi – Heidi Ruud Ellingsen er S. S. Bjugn
A performance by Sissel Solbjørg Bjugn.
Poet. Feminist. Christian. Socialist. Absurd. -ist.
In her small apartment sits one of Norway’s most important writers and poets.
In Heidi Ruud Ellingsen’s interpretation, Sissel Solbjørg Bjugn is brought back to life, 13 years after her passing.
Through Sissel’s own words—both the poems she wrote and the interviews she gave—a fearless poet emerges.
A poet who broke boundaries, who was full of humor, playfulness, and devil-may-care spirit.
But also a human being with needs, with longings, with dark thoughts.
Why doesn’t she answer when the phone rings?
Why does she hide away alone in her apartment, daydreaming about being Kate Bush?
And—is it really such a big deal to write the word “pussy”?
Tor Eystein Øverås knew Sissel Solbjørg Bjugn for nearly twenty years and was among the few who remained in close contact with her until her unexpected death at the age of 63.
Bjugn had bequeathed her archive and copyrights to Øverås.
Based on letters and interviews with people who knew and worked with her, he edited the book *Skrive, tegne, røre og slåss!: av og om Sissel Solbjørg Bjugn* (Writing , Drawing , Moving, and Fighting!: By and About Sissel Solbjørg Bjugn).
Here, Øverås paints a portrait of the poet, children’s book author, illustrator, and radically religious and socially engaged S.S. Bjugn.
Øverås has also compiled poems, texts, and illustrations that Bjugn had published in newspapers, magazines, and anthologies.
The Finest F…a in Nordland is an excerpt from this—and a glimpse into a body of work and a human heart.
