Terje Boye Hansen has left a lasting mark on the music scene in Kristiansand.

As chief conductor of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra from 2001 to 2006 and the founder of the New Year’s Concert, he established traditions that continue to draw audiences today. He was a vocal advocate for both new and forgotten Norwegian music, and he was passionate about bringing to the forefront composers who deserve greater recognition. In this concert, we honor his memory with a program featuring accessible and evocative music in his spirit.

Cellist Sandra Lied Haga is tonight’s soloist; she is known for her many national and international competition victories and for her early debut at Wigmore Hall in London at the age of 12.
