Terje Boye Hansen has left a lasting mark on the musical life of Kristiansand.
As chief conductor of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra from 2001 to 2006 and the initiator of the New Year’s Concert, he established traditions that continue to draw audiences. He was a vocal advocate for both new
and forgotten Norwegian music, and he was passionate about promoting composers
who deserve greater recognition. In this concert, we honor his memory with a program featuring accessible and evocative music in his spirit.
Cellist Sandra Lied Haga is tonight’s soloist, known for her many national and international competition victories and for her early debut at Wigmore Hall in London at the age of 12.
