Hanne Boel is constantly engaged in a creative process, and these days she is working on new material that will eventually become a new album.
Hanne is trying out a tried-and-true strategy from the past, where the songs and their live performances meet the audience, and where the atmosphere and feedback will help determine which of the songs will earn a spot on her next release.
At the concerts in 2026, you can therefore expect to hear new songs, but certainly also familiar songs that have proven themselves throughout Hanne’s long career.
Together with the band, she always strives to be curious and innovative in relation to her older repertoire, but always with a watchful eye to avoid ruining a good song by changing too much when it doesn’t feel right.
“I feel that, together with my current band, I find myself in the present. We’re curious, eager to play, music-loving, and we love a good groove that hits the body just as much as the heart and the mind. We’re curious about the present, and at the same time, we’re enthusiastic about the old virtues from the ’80s and ’90s.”
