Gershwin to be celebrated at the 2023 New Year's Concert
The first major highlight of the year will take place early in 2023. For the first time in three years, the time-honored New Year’s Concert with the KSO will be held with an audience in the hall.
Julian Rachlin is the new chief conductor of the KSO
Julian Rachlin will become the new chief conductor of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra (KSO) in the fall of 2023. Rachlin will take over the baton from Nathalie Stutzmann, who has led the orchestra since 2018.
Goodbye, Nathalie!
Principal Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann will conduct her final two concerts for the time being when she visits Kristiansand in January 2023. Her contract expires at the end of the current season.
Gupta Back on the Podium
This Thursday, we’re hosting the Symphonic Neighborhood Festival, in collaboration with our new neighbor, Knuden – Kristiansand School of Culture. This will also be a rare opportunity to see conductor Rolf Gupta on the podium with the KSO.
